Pilseok, even at your best of being a secret keeper sort of moments Jay had a feeling anything you consider exciting news isn’t far from jumping past your lips. Of course word would get out. If not by something you directly say, something indirect would probably link of the pieces. Jay wasn’t going to blame him or anything or blame anyone for stuff if information got it..it got out… what did it matter that other people knew? It was no secret to anyone that she was close with Pilseok already. That they came to this school together and she and he could be seen either shouting at each other or laughing with each other on a daily basis. And that didn’t have anything to do with anyone else… their friends or family or any companies or fans or antifans, what did it matter.
This was kind of a situation between herself and this sweet idiot of a boyfriend she now..had…
If anyone had a right to be freaking out about it then she did.
But his reactions to what she’d said after about his group and such were the opposite of anything she’d expected. Huh? Pil? Pil why is your face like that? Why are you poking at the bed now? Jay wasn’t entirely certain and maybe it was just the angle or lighting or something but it almost looked to her like his eyes were quivering and had she..upset him… because she’d meant her words as a compliment to you, Pilseok!! “Pil…?” Jay bit her lip, uncertain of what to do and suddenly feeling sick to her stomach with confused guilt.
”Of course I support you guys…” It was no good. She knew that little laugh. Maybe if they weren’t so familiar with each other she’d have been fooled but this was Jaekyung and she’d grown up with Pilseok and when his brand of happiness was being faked she noticed. But what to do…
She lay there biting her lip looking at him in silence
What to…
Oh!
Jay sat up suddenly and climbed over Pilseok and off of her bed to the floor. Moving over to her desk on her knees, she pulled open the bottom drawer, and scooted a pile of papers further to the back of the drawer so an assortment of cds were visible. “Pilseok, get over here. Look.” There displayed for him was either one or two copies of every cd Enigma had released, along with a few varied k-hiphop cds and one cd from the girl group her roommates liked and nudged her into buying since she’d danced one of the songs on it. “That’s all the cds I own..and some other stuff…” She poked at the hiphop cds which were what she used for dance practice. Then, leaving the drawer open for him to observe she moved up into her chair and nudged her desk mess around so she could get to her laptop better, poking it on and glaring at it until the screen lit up with her very plain desktop and her itunes opened in which she set the tracks in order of most plays. The top of the list was again, a mix of things she’d used for dance and Enigma, with all of Enigma’s title songs in the top twenty-five, their debut song right at the top with several thousand plays. She moved the device across her desk so Pilseok could see the screen better, and that accomplished, lay back on the floor, hands folded over her waist.
”Aish when you make sad faces I want to punch you…don’t do it…” Surely anyone could see that maybe if Jay were the sort to be a fangirl…Enigma would be her only bias group. She knew plenty of other korean music stuff on account of it was unavoidable but very little got on repeat for her and Jay calling something alright was a pretty big thing really. Even if a lot of the time she just listened to the songs to hear Pilseok… wasn’t that good enough?
